In celebration of all things cherries this month, we wanted to share one of our favorite smoothie recipes. This smoothie is the perfect way to start off your day or heal your sore body after a hard workout. In addition to lowering inflammation in the body, cherries are also shown to help reduce belly fat, reduce stress, improve cholesterol levels, and help you achieve a healthier sleep cycle. All of these factors contribute to a healthy and body weight, and not to mention make you feel better!
We love the flavor combination of chocolate and cherries but feel free to swap out any flavor of your favorite protein powder! We especially like the plant-based protein smoothie mixes from our friends at Kuli Kuli Foods.
3/4 cup frozen cherries
1 scoop chocolate protein powder
1/2 lime juiced
Blend together. Serve with Cherry OneBar on the side & enjoy!
